Gender-Bending Chemicals Turning Man and Animals Feminine: Chemicals in food, cosmetics, and cleaning products are ‘feminizing’ unborn boys, causing falling sperm counts, and infertility later in life.

The Disappearing Male is about one of the most important, and least publicized, issues facing the human species: the toxic threat to the male reproductive system. The last few decades have seen steady and dramatic increases in the incidence of boys and young men suffering from genital deformities, low sperm count, sperm abnormalities, and testicular cancer.

At the same time, boys are now far more at risk of suffering from ADHD, autism, Tourette’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia.

The Disappearing Male takes a close and disturbing look at what many doctors and researchers now suspect are responsible for many of these problems: a class of common chemicals that are ubiquitous in our world.

Found in everything from shampoo, sunglasses, meat and dairy products, carpet, cosmetics and baby bottles, they are called “hormone mimicking” or “endocrine disrupting” chemicals and they may be starting to damage the most basic building blocks of human development.

Gender-Bending Chemicals Turning Man and Animals Feminine: Chemicals in food, cosmetics, and cleaning products are ‘feminizing’ unborn boys, causing falling sperm counts, and infertility later in life, an expert warns today.  Professor Richard Sharpe, one of Britain’s leading reproductive biologists, says everyday substances are linked to soaring rates of birth defects and testicular cancer, and to falling sperm counts.

The government adviser’s report published today is the most detailed yet into the threat posed to baby boys by chemicals that block the action of the male sex hormone testosterone, or mimic the female sex hormone oestrogen.

Plastic chemicals ‘feminize boys: Phthalates have the ability to disrupt

hormones, and have been banned in toys in the EU for some years.

Chemicals in plastics alter the brains of baby boys, making them  “more feminine”, say US researchers.

The University of Rochester team’s latest work adds to concerns about the safety of phthalates, found in

vinyl flooring and PVC shower curtains.

The findings are reported in the International Journal of Andrology.

The new European Chemical Regulation, REACH, will ensure further rigorous evaluation

and testing or chemical substances and their uses.”

“We are on the fast track to extinction. In the past 50 years, sperm counts in men have dropped 50 percent, while the average man’s testosterone and sperm count has plummeted 20 percent in just the last 20 years.”

Males of All Species are Becoming More Female

Thousands of chemicals released into the environment are interfering with animal and human endocrine systems. These chemicals, nicknamed “gender-benders,” are causing the males in many species to become feminized. In British lowland rivers, 50 percent of male fish were found to be growing eggs in their testes. Hermaphrodite polar bears have also been born.

A male mouse’s desire to mate with either a male or a female is determined by the brain chemical serotonin, scientists report in a new study. The finding demonstrates for the first time that a neurotransmitter governs sexual preference in mammals.

Serotonin is known to regulate sexual behaviors, such as erection, ejaculation and orgasm, in both mice and men. The compound generally dampens sexual activity; for instance, antidepressants that increase the amount of serotonin in the brain sometimes decrease sex drive. [Top 10 Aphrodisiacs] Neuroscientist Yi Rao of Peking University and the National Institute of Biological Sciences in Beijing, and his collaborators have now shown that serotonin also underlies a male’s decision to woo a female or another male. They published their results in the March 24 issue of the journal Nature.

5 Artificial Chemicals That Are Making You Fat and causing demasculinization in men: There are many artificial chemicals believed to contribute to obesity. These chemicals are termed “obesogens” – foreign chemical compounds that can disrupt the normal function of the body and cause fat gain (1). They are found in various food containers, baby bottles, toys, plastics, cookware and cosmetics. Many of them are classified as Endocrine Disruptors – chemicals that can interfere with your hormones (2). These chemicals exert their effects by activating estrogen receptors, which can cause harmful effects in both females and males. The estrogen receptor is “promiscuous” – meaning that it will bind to anything that looks even remotely like an estrogen (3). These substances have not only been linked to obesity, but also to birth defects, premature puberty in girls, demasculinization in men, breast cancer, and various other disorders.

Is Chemical in Plastic Robbing Men of Sex Appeal? “BPA has been shown to suppress the early production of testosterone.

A chemical found in common plastics may undermine a man’s masculinity and his ability to attract a female, or at least that’s what a new study on mice may suggest. It is the latest research to question the health safety of the hormone-changing compound bisphenol-A, or BPA. In the study, researchers found that female mice were not attracted to male mice that were exposed to BPA in the womb. They also noted that males exposed to the chemical in the womb were more likely to behave like females.

Researchers said female mice exposed to BPA were unaffected by the chemical.

It’s possible that BPA exposure alters the males’ hormone signals, researchers said, and some say the chemical exposure may have the same effect on people by altering developmental sexual traits in boys and girls.

“BPA has been shown to suppress the early production of testosterone. In short, the females can sense [the males’] compromised state and are less attracted to these males,” said Cheryl Rosenfeld, associate professor in biomedical sciences at the University of Missouri and co-author of the study.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, more than 1 million pounds of BPA are released into the environment each year, primarily uised as an ingredient to harden plastic. The chemical has been widely scrutinized, causing several consumer products, including baby bottles, water bottles and microwavable dishware made with the compound, to be taken off the shelves.

Last year, the European Union and Canada banned the use of BPA in baby bottles. Many U.S. states are following suit by considering a ban on the chemical, as well.

Study shows Plastic Chemicals Make Boys ‘More Feminine”

The study, which looked at phthalates, chemicals that can mimic the female sex hormone oestrogen, is the first to link them to changes in behavior. Phthalates, used to soften plastics, are in household items such as plastic furniture, shoes, PVC flooring and shower curtains. They can also be transferred to food and drink from plastic packaging.

The study, published in the International Journal of Andrology, was led by Dr. Shanna Swan, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester in New York State.

Gender-bending chemicals putting our future at risk: They say wild animals are being

‘feminized’ by a host of common man-made pollutants which mimic the female sex hormone oestrogen

and escape into seas, rivers, the earth and air when waste is disposed of.

Phthalate warning: Medications contain chemicals that “feminize”

unborn baby boys (NaturalNews) In a bombshell finding that has far-reaching implications for society and culture, scientists at the University of Rochester have found that phthalates — the chemical found in many vinyl and plastic products — tends to “feminize” boys, altering their brains to express more feminine characteristics. The study has been published in the Journal of Andrology.

GMO Foods Making Men Sterile: Around 75% percent of our processed foods contain some form of genetically modified ingredients (GMOs).

Evidence already shows that men are quickly becoming sterile.

Studies showed stunted growth, impaired immune systems, bleeding stomachs, abnormal and potentially pre-cancerous cell growth in the intestines, impaired blood cell development, misshaped cell structures in the liver, pancreas and testicles, altered gene expression and cell metabolism, liver and kidney lesions, partially atrophied livers, inflamed kidneys, less developed organs, reduced digestive enzymes, higher blood sugar, inflamed lung tissue, increased death rates and higher offspring mortality as well.

Jeffrey Smith, author of the bestseller Seeds of Deception, andGenetic Roulette, discusses the latest GMO research findings coming out of Russia, which adds fuel to previous concerns about long-term sterility and other highly bizarre physiological side effects.
